A New Year!!!!

Well Another year has passed by, A year of blessings, adventure and love, from a new home to a new baby, together creating a new lifestyle for us, one that is welcome.

This Year we brought in the new year with the Friesens from White Rock, Friesens from Winnipeg and Calgary, the Litkes from Winnipeg and the Magarells from Coledale Alberta. We enjoyed 5 days of snowboarding, skiing, playing board and card games as well as eating a large assortment of treats and food . Unfortunately 3 days into or family retreat we were plagued with a flue. This slowly took us down one by one, some resisted but the inevitable came upon all. However, the mood was still light with Adam yelling "FREEDOM" after an encounter with the bathroom.

Despite our misfortune we still enjoyed each other with games of gestures, rook, settlers, and Poker; the newest and most popular game of the holiday. Nathan and Tricia Friesen, who were rookies seemed to be unbeatable, with only a couple of television examples to draw their poker playing ability from. Paul Friesen the veteran of the group was unable to get a good run going, but we all had fun seeing as though there was no money involved.

The best part was all the little tikes running around, they were so cute and very well behaved.

Aidan and Bradon who are one week apart had a few giggles as they looked at each other and reached out for the other. Carter was always talking, and Easton and Jed had fun the dumptruck they had just gotten for Christmas. Jay and Irene were staying downstairs, so evey time the dumptruck came out Jay would say, "Oh, sounds like rush hour started again!".

On the 3rd of the New Year we packed up our equipment and bundled up our sick and headed home. The roads were full of snow and vehicles inching there ways home. We thank the Lord for giving our Family safe travel.

I pray this New Year update finds all who read it well and we wish you all a Happy New Year to come....

Lots of Love

Vince, Pam and Aidan

Christmas ' 06

We had a wonderful Christmas with our new baby in our new home! Vince and I were both very busy with work in December. Vince was busy changing the heating controls in a high School in Surrey as well as upgrading the HVAC controls at Lansdown Mall in Richmond, both jobs needing to be done by the end of the month. I was busy with my clients at the spa with services and selling gift certificates. Praise the Lord for Grandmothers.... My mom helped me out with Aidan taking care of him with private piano concerts, and when Vince was available to look after Aidan Mom helped me out at the spa.

We also decorated the house and tree in anticipation of Vince's parents arriving on the 19th from Quill Lake Sask. On Christmas eve we had Mom, Nathan, Tricia, and Vince's Mom and Dad over for a turkey dinner with all the trimmings, and the Cooper touch with Ukranian perogies and cabbage rolls. Unfortunately Dad Friesen was in Germany and his flight got in at 11:00pm that night. After supper we went to the Christmas Eve Service at our Church, the service was beautiful with carols and a great Christmas message. Vince also liked when they played Silent night on the piano and Aidan and Grandma Friesen played along. Christmas Day we went to mom and dad Friesen's and had a wonderful morning. Mom prepared one of our favorite breakfasts of baked German apple pancakes. In the afternoon we were off to Chilliwack for the Thiessen gathering, with Aunt Susun and her family. We had a wonderful day!

It was a Great Christmas Holiday filled with food, fun, and Family. (not all in that order)
